I love how my brita pitcher filters the chlorine out but wouldn’t they filter the good minerals and stuff out of my water too?

by the way, no sacrasem, i just want an answer from someone who does pracetice the cruelty free movement and how they get around this whole thing. however, even if your not vegan but still have a non sarcastic answer that whould be cool too. just dont be a dick

We have a family of 5 — so we go through a considerable amount of water. We are steering away from products like Brita and Pur as we go through filters like crazy. Plus I hear Brita and Pur are not that great anyway as far as filtering water compared to other systems. What’s a good product at a decent price to get?

I’m looking to purchase a water filter… the only one I’m really aware of is Brita brand.. If anyone has any insight or suggestions on water filtration please share – thank you.

Also I saw on the Brita website they sell a portable pitcher like device to filter water – do any other brands have some sort of portable filter? I’m going over-seas for a few months and that would be verrrryyy helpful!

I live in the city and although it passes all the tests to make it "safe" – It doesn’t taste very good. I’ve had other moms tell me they use straight tap water and I’m not okay with that, plus I didn’t think that was okay.

There seems to be so many thoughts on this, I just want what’s best. I’ve been buying Nursery water but I also have a Brita pitcher and was wondering if that was okay or not?

Filtered water? Nursery water? Boiled? Help! lol

2 questions just say yes or no.
Please answer honestly and only if the question applies to you :) Best anwer goes to someone random I guess.
      1. (Only Answer if you have a drivers license)
Do you drive MORE THAN 5 hours every WEEK?
      2. Do you use reusable liquid containers? (This means pitchers for consentrated juice, thermases, brita filters and other things you don’t have to throw away or recycle to hold liquid) If you use both answer for which you use MORE.

      Thank you so much!

I noticed a little black cloud at the bottom of the Brita pitcher, so I threw out the water, washed the pitcher and refilled it. But now it’s been several times, different filters, and perhaps all the filters, and I just hadn’t noticed it before. I’m wondering if perhaps these charcoal filters aren’t really safe. Anyone know anything about this?
