We have all the appliances. It is going to be about 1500 sq. feet. We are just going to move to a new location 300 yards away. We need ventilation, grease trap, floor surface.

I’m not sure if I should tear down the house and then sell the property. I have put money into the interior thinking I would stay. I bought new appliances (stove, dishwasher, washer & dryer), also a new furnace, hot water heater, light fixtures, new countertops in kitchen, bathroom vanity, air conditioner. Home has pella windows, 14 glass sliding doors, beamed ceiling, paneling, hardwood floors, 2 fireplaces, 3/4 brick exterior. Finished basement with bar. It’s only a 2 BR with 1 1/2 baths. It’s located in the Wood Dale area of Illinois near O’hare, on a dead end street, near expressways. Homes in the area are being torn down or added on to making much of the area larger newer homes. I have put up a For Sale sign just to get an idea of what people would pay. I need as much as I can get out of the property to live on. I need as much feed in as possible to do this. The house was built in 1954.

I will have a small deep freezer, a small refrigerated prep station, ac, lights and some small appliances. How many marine batteries will I need for it to last about ten hours a day and will a 7000 watt continuous inverter be ok. Thank you.

I moved into a house rental just a month ago. Four days ago I notice a cockroach and I’ve seen 1 a night since in the living room. I gave notice and am moving and have NEVER, ever had to deal with cockroaches before. I’ve read they like to get into electronics and small appliances. None of my appliances were ever unpacked, but they were only in a bag or open box. My tv, vcr/dvd player and laptop I have been using and are in the living room. How do I know if the bugs got into any of them before I move? I will absolutely be ticked if they end up moving with me (I’m moving back to the condo I own, which does not have any pests.).

okay im getting married, and moving into an apartment. I am going to register and I need a little bit of advice before I do so. In the apartments, the big appliances, such as fridge, stove, and microwave, are white. However, throughout the house, I’m decorating with green, brown, and darker colors. I like the darker look. Soooo, would it look bad if I went ahead and registered for black small appliances, like a toaster, mixer, blender, and things like that?
And when it comes to trash cans, laundry baskets, and such, should i keep with the white or black?
I know mot people could care less, but I need all of the help I can get. I want to start off on the right foot!

My house is small. Everything in it is electric. I’m wondering if it would still be useful or even necessary for me to purchase a carbon monoxide alarm?

All I can find is Chinese crap. I have not looked at Bunn but I did not want to go that high unless I have to.
In fact all small appliances in Walmart are made in China. They have started stocking the new Chinese products already for Christmas.
I would like to know how a generator works.. If a generator is rated to have 3kVA, 12V/8.3A , rated power 6.8HP, petrol 4 stroke, with an operating period of 8 hours, can it, for instance, operate on a single house with small appliances like a radio, 10 lights, a TV, a microwave. Basically, with those characteristics, up to how many appliances can it power? Or alternatively, when you have appliances or any other motor with a rated wattage, how do you choose the right generator?

I have a small home studio, so my computer has a lot of speakers, a keyboard, some sound modules and guitar amplifiers around it, all warm places for ants to form a nest.
So,
I need to erradicate these ants away from my computer and electrical equipment around it. Is there a way to just bug them off without compromising the integrity of the equipment?
